FICTIONAL PROJECT EXAMPLE

Making finance feel human

A fictional portfolio case study about making an everyday financial journey easier to understand and complete.

Accessible service and product design

This is illustrative portfolio content for a fictional profile. It does not represent a real client engagement or a deployed product.

The project

The sample brief focuses on an onboarding journey with unfamiliar language and too many decisions at once. The proposed design breaks the process into short steps and explains what each choice means before asking someone to continue.

The contribution

Aarav's fictional contribution includes reviewing the journey, rewriting interface copy and designing clear form states. The example connects a design skill to a concrete piece of work rather than listing a tool without context.

Accessibility in the process

Use persistent field labels, clear error messages, visible focus states and predictable navigation. Test the journey with a keyboard and check that information does not depend on color alone. Explain how feedback changed the design.

What the case study should demonstrate

Compare the original and proposed flows, explain the tradeoffs and describe how usability would be evaluated. Keep example observations separate from real research results. This demonstration does not provide a financial service or financial advice.
